WhatsApp Payments System To Roll Out Very Soon: Here’s Everything You Need to Know

There were speculations earlier that WhatsApp has been secretly working on integrating UPI payments feature within its app. Today, a beta version of the chat app – 2.17.295 – have been spotted featuring the UPI payments option. Going by the reports, the feature is in the works and still in the process of being perfected. With this feature, you would be able to send money to your friends, family, or any of your contacts with just a few taps on your Android or iOS smartphone. However, leaked screenshots of the beta version with this option mention that the users will have to accept WhatsApp Payments’ Privacy Policy and Terms before proceeding to access the feature. As of now, only the beta version for Android is being tested, and there is no word on the feature being made available to the iOS platform. The first Nokia flagship Android phone is launching on August 16th

HMD is preparing to unveil its flagship Nokia-branded Android phone next month. The phone maker has started sending media invites to an event in London on August 16th, just days after a Nokia 8 handset leaked. The new Nokia 8 is expected to be unveiled on August 16th, and it will mark the first time a Nokia-branded Android device ships with Carl Zeiss optics. The Nokia 8 is rumored to include a dual-camera system with 13-megapixel sensors and Carl Zeiss optics. The Nokia 8 is also expected to feature a 5.3-inch display (2560 x 1440), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and dual-SIM models. A copper gold model of the Nokia 8   appeared online yesterday, looking much like a chocolate bar. Thankfully, HMD is also expected to introduce blue and silver models. JioPhone Booking: Jio Comes Up With 'Keep Me Posted' Facility

Just a day after the launch of "effective price zero" JioPhone, Reliance Jio has come up with a "Keep me posted" link on its website for the bookings of the new 4G feature phone. Users need to fill their details (name, email and phone number) on the website to initiate the process. Once the process is done, an email notification will be followed to the given email address by "Team Jio" stating, "As we are in the process of fulfilling existing demand, we will contact you at the earliest for booking your slot." The slot timings are divided in two categories - weekday and weekend. For weekdays (Monday to Friday), the timings will be 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. And for weekends (Saturday and Sunday), 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  JioPhone will come with lifetime free voice calls and 4G data streaming at a price of Rs 1,500, which will be refunded to the users while returning the phone after the completion of 36 months. WhatsApp privacy: Will regulate social networking sites, Centre tells SC

Users' personal data is part of their right to life and it can't be shared freely by telecom providers or any social media sites, Govt said. New Delhi :  The Union Government is contemplating to regulate the functioning of social networking sites to ensure safety of the users' data. The Central Government on Friday told the Supreme Court that it is contemplating to enact regulatory regime for social networking sites or services like Whatsapp, Facebook, Skype and others. The Centre made these submissions before the five-judge Constitution Bench that is hearing WhatsApp privacy policy case. The Centre told that personal data of users is a part of their right to life and it can't be shared freely by telecom providers or any social network sites. Any attack on data is an attack on 'Right to Life', the Centre told the apex court.
